Exciting news for young adult dependent children of migrant workers in New Zealand! Starting from 01 October 2024, they will have the opportunity to work part-time while waiting for their parents’ residence visa application processing.
This initiative provides valuable opportunities for young adults to gain work experience and contribute to the local workforce.
To be eligible:
1. must be included in their parents New Zealand resident visa (lodged and awaiting a decision);
2. Aged between 17- 14; and
3. be eligible for a visitor visa.individuals must be included in their parents’ New Zealand resident visa application, aged between 17-24, and eligible for a visitor visa.
They will be able to work :
a. 20 hours per week between 1 February and 30 November; and
b. 40 hours per week between 1 December and 31 January.
